preeschool_2010.jpgPRESCHOOL

The Preschool  stage is formed by children from two to five years old. this area counts with a beautiful building with the following facilities:big classrooms with air conditioner, a courtyard roof, playground, lunch area and swimming pool.

Our bilingual program begins at the level of Pre-K, formed by children arround 3 years old. We use the Game-Work methodology, that allows rapid language learning . This methodology is based on games, songs, stories, phrases and messages related to the daily basis of our students as well as situations in which they can be involved.

During the preschool years, we offer to our students physical activities that help their psychomotor development. These skills are very important as they contribute to the process of literacy.

Our Program

Language/Literacy

Children learn to communicate naturally, so we seek situations, tasks and activities to increase their vocabulary and language development. To achieve our goal we use different educational resources, such as textbooks, cards, group activities, games, songs, puppets, exercises, videos, dramas, stories, and hand writing activities.

Mathematics

The learning of mathematics arises with the need and ability to solve problems. The children have practical experience and educational materials that support cognitive development. This area of knowledge includes numerical recognition, discrimination, classification, shape, space and measures, etc.

Personal, social and emotional development

The success of our children will depend on having their own conception of themselves and the world around him, so it is important to develop a strong, positive self-image. We know that each child is unique and that their needs are different, thus promoting their individuality as a person, values and good habits for a healthy coexistence.

Physical development

Physical development includes two dimensions, developing gross motor and fine motor skills. Our program seeks to improve skills of coordination, control, manipulation and movement through the body and sizing activities. For gross motor children receive physical education classes twice a week, physical expression and swim lessons, which are optional.

Swimming Class

Children older than 3 years old take swimming classes once a week. This is an optional service offered by the school within the curriculum.

Knowledge of the world

This area integrates the fundamental aspects of understanding the world and what they are. We promote knowledge of science, technology, history, geography and environment.
 Creative development

A creative child is more successful in learning. We encourage the creativity of our students through various activities including art, music, drama and imaginative play.
