Cathedral Schoolwas founded on 1995 by Delores Sánchez and her mother Miriam Joa. We started with a preschool located in Lucerna, the name was Centro Educativo "1 2 3" and it had 45 children enrolled. At that time this was the first school in Santo Domingo Este with a bilingual Curriculum offering English as a second language.
By then, our Vision was to become a pre university school which motivated us to expand our educational approach to Primary school and so on to complete the High School.
We are in our current location since the year 2000, offering to our families a high quality sducation in a safe, aesthetic and confortable environment.
We are member of The Council of International Schools (CIS), The World Association of Early Chilhood Education (AMEI) and the Accrediting Commission International (ACI). Currently, we are waiting to be accredited by THE NEW ENGLAND ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES.
